About JMT
Japan Machinery Trader is a verified marketplace for used Japanese machinery, trucks, and refurbished units — built for international buyers who need a trustworthy intermediary in Japan.
Why JMT exists
Buying Japanese machinery from abroad has historically meant choosing between an opaque auction, a hard-to-verify dealer page, and a chain of brokers nobody can audit. Money moves before quality is confirmed. Once the machine ships, problems are someone else's problem.
JMT was built to fix that. Every seller is verified before they can list. Buyer payment is received by JMT and held until the Bill of Lading is issued and verified. Every state change is audited so disputes have a clear record.
We don't claim to remove all risk. We do claim to make it structurally easier to spot the problems early, to keep money on the safe side of the workflow until logistics is confirmed, and to give buyers a single screen where the transaction status is honest.
What we do
- Verify sellers — company registration, kobutsusho license, and yard documents reviewed before any listing goes live.
- Mediate payment — funds are received and held by JMT until B/L is verified by finance.
- Coordinate export — inland transport, loading, B/L issuance, and document chain are tracked on every transaction.
- Audit everything — every state change is appended to an audit log, override or not.

How we count
JMT only reports aggregate counts on this page. We do not publish individual seller names, listing titles, prices, or any buyer/transaction data.
Published listings
Counts listings that are currently visible to the public on JMT. Drafts, suspended listings, deleted listings, cancelled listings, and listings still in private admin review are not included.
Verified sellers
Counts seller profiles JMT has reviewed and verified, including premium verified. We do not expose seller names, verification documents, or private company information from this page.
Categories live
Counts distinct machinery and truck categories with at least one publicly published listing. Categories that only have drafts or private listings are not included.
New in last 30 days
Counts publicly published listings whose published_at timestamp falls within the last 30 days. Private drafts and rejected listings are not included.
