General information, not legal advice
This page explains how JMT's marketplace generally works, in plain language. It is general information, not a substitute for professional legal advice, and does not itself create additional binding terms beyond what is stated. JMT may update this page as the service evolves. For a transaction-specific question, contact JMT support.
1.What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data a website asks your browser to store, either for the length of your visit (session cookies) or for longer (persistent cookies). JMT also uses similar browser storage for the same purposes described below.
2.Necessary cookies
JMT relies on a small number of necessary cookies for the site to function: your locale (English/Japanese), and, once signed in, your authentication session. Without these, core features like sign-in, the Buyer Hub, and the Seller Hub would not work.
3.Authentication and session cookies
When you sign in, JMT's authentication layer sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in as you move between pages. It expires automatically after a period of inactivity or when you sign out.
4.Analytics and advertising measurement
We use basic analytics tools to understand how visitors use JMT, improve marketplace performance, and measure advertising campaigns. These tools may collect page views, device/browser information, approximate location, and referral sources. We do not send buyer messages, seller private pricing, admin notes, inquiry text, payment details, or other private marketplace content as analytics event data.
5.Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser's settings. Blocking necessary cookies will sign you out and may prevent sign-in-only features (inquiries, full photo downloads, saved machines) from working; blocking analytics/advertising cookies does not affect core marketplace functionality. JMT does not currently offer an in-page cookie preference control beyond your browser's own settings. For how the underlying data is used, see JMT's Privacy Policy.
6.Contact
Questions about cookies can be sent to JMT support through the contact page.
